It’s a national dish of Switzerland and a winter-time staple: Cheese Fondue. Since December, you can now enjoy this iconic Swiss meal onboard SWISS flights from Geneva. As a part of the SWISS Saveurs program, Retail inMotion co-developed a truly unique and delicious fondue meal, especially designed for consumption on board. The Cheese Fondue meal is based on a traditional recipe (50% Vacherin Fribourgeois and 50% Gruyère) and is served with fondue bread.
The extraordinarily high quality of this signature meal directly aligns with the SWISS brand values. It’s a premium product that creates a truly premium experience for customers on board. The new SWISS winter menu explains it flawlessly: “At SWISS, we are convinced that quality counts. We are constantly seeking out new concepts, services or products that correspond with this vision. Our SWISS Saveurs menu fits completely with our desire to offer you more choice and more quality on board of our flights. We have carefully selected the products that make up our range, concentrating mainly on Swiss brands.”
“So far, the feedback from crew and passengers for this new product has been really positive,” remarked Manuel Hübschmann, Retail inMotion’s Retail Director for SWISS. “The fondue will fly with SWISS throughout the winter season.”
Developing the fondue was a truly collaborative effort. Retail inMotion partnered with its sister brand, SPIRIANT, to create perfect packaging for the onboard environment. The bread that accompanies the fondue is baked by BISA, a local supplier who also provides SWISS with tarts onboard. Several workshops were held between RiM and SWISS to make sure that every detail of this product was totally “SWISS”.
