The Category Manager (Food & Beverage) will be responsible for driving the development of different food/beverage categories and leading the strategic sourcing activities for these categories. Managing a wide variety of supplier relations, brand partnerships and internal senior stakeholders makes the daily business rich in variety. Further, the role will involve negotiating contracts, analyzing KPIs and attending trade shows to understand the trends in the Food & Beverage market. The Category Manager F&B will be given complete autonomy over this role with vast amounts of career development and progression opportunities within a flexible and family friendly environment.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience within the strategic procurement sector in the F&B industry.
How you will make a difference:
- Define product category strategies in alignment with internal stakeholders based on customer requirements;
- Lead strategic sourcing activities including supplier selection, negotiating prices and contracts;
- Identify and implement relevant market trends and innovations from the F&B industry;
- Pursue continuous supplier relationship management;
- Monitor the implementation of sourcing strategies in close collaboration with the operational procurement team;
- Define relevant KPIs and monitoring supplier performance, monitor plan-actual comparisons and derive appropriate measures;
- Initiate and coordinate brand partnerships and marketing co-operations;
- Analyze spend data and create cost saving projections;
- Coordinate the collaboration between all internal interfaces and stakeholders.
The skills you will bring:
- Completed studies in business administration/nutritional sciences
- Fluent English oral and written
- Investigative, methodical and tenacious mind set with the self-motivation to plan, coordinate and enforce a large number of different topics and stakeholder simultaneously
- Good knowledge of trend and innovation drivers within the F&B industry
- Excellent Presentation and analytical skills
- Willingness to travel and high intercultural competences
- Strong communication skills and ability to deal with people at all levels both internally and externally
- 3-5 years’ experience in a similar position with focus on F&B
