Summary

Here at Retail inMotion we have a great opportunity for a Graduate .Net Developer to join our growing IT Team in Dublin on a Fixed Term Basis (18 Months). This role would be ideally suited to a technology enthusiast who is looking to develop their experience as part of a .NET Development team in a back-end capacity.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Supporting legacy system developed by ASP.NET and SQL Server.
  • Providing excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Using your initiative on watching the backlog and resolving tickets in a timely manner.
  • Effective handling of assigned bugs.
  • Self-motivated with the capacity to take ownership of a project and see it through to completion.
  • Support the team in the current migration of a legacy monolithic system to a micro services- based solution. 
  • Develop your knowledge with the end goal of contributing to the entire development lifecycle from initial concept creation through to planning, implementation, QA and assisting product support teams. The aim is to produce well designed, properly structured, high quality and high performing software on schedule.
  • Strong communication skills with excellent attention to detail.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science or similar
  • 0 – 2 years of commercial software engineering experience
  • Good understanding of object orientated programming
  • Familiar with ASP.Net full stack programming (C#, SQL, CSS, HTML, JavaScript and jQuery).
  • Familiar with database design and relational database concepts. Good knowledge about SQL Server and T-SQL including creating complex queries and stored procedures.
  • Familiar with the concept of restful API’s.
  • Use of Git/ Bitbucket, JIRA or similar.
  • Fair understanding of Continuous Integration/ Continuous Deployment practices
