Summary

Our IT Department here at Retail inMotion are looking for a Front End Developer to join our team on a permanent basis. This role is suited towards a skilled Javascript developer who is proficient with React.js. The primary focus of this role is to develop user interface components using Redux state container.

 

 

In this role, you’ll:

  • You will work as part of the Development team focusing on the front-end
  • Develop high performance front-end system utilizing JavaScript, React. Js, Redux and Redux Saga
  • Knowledge of micro front-end design pattern, specifically single-spa framework
  • Contribute to build reusable components and libraries that can be used across multiple products within the company eco-system
  • Develop Unit Testing using Jest framework
  • Develop new user interfaces for a new product on an internal UI Library using HTML5, CSS3, SASS and Material UI with attention to detail transforming UI Mockups into actual products
  • The ideal candidate will make continuous improvements and have specific input into the design and architecture of both current and future products
  • Collaborating closely with both the UI/UX team and architects, providing input on activities ranging from tactical projects to significant architectural and user interface improvements
  • Contributing to the entire development lifecycle from initial concept creation through to planning, implementation. The aim is to produce well designed, properly structured, high quality and high performing software on schedule
  • Distributed systems knowledge would be a huge plus

 

 

 

 

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science or relevant work experience
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience
  • Highly proficient in both JavaScript, React. Js and its ecosystem
  • Practical working knowledge in HTML5, CSS3, SASS using Material UI
  • Practical working knowledge of some of the following: Redux, Redux Saga, Jest and single-spa
  • Results oriented with a high degree of accountability and responsibility
  • Flexible to changing requirements while managing own task list and time
  • Team player with the ability to take ownership and responsibility of the team’s success
